What Others are Saying
“The NM EDGE classes have been informative and enjoyable. From the first class I attended in Santa Fe to the last class in a virtual setting, I have learned something in each and every class. Throughout my career, my duties and responsibilities have changed many times, and many of the things I learned in the NM EDGE program helped me understand and fulfill these duties. As a supervisor, having a basic understanding of human resources related matters has helped me many times when dealing with employees. At times, that insight came from a story one of the instructors shared or a comment from a fellow student. These things gave the course material real world application and meaning. This positive learning environment greatly assisted me in retaining this often new information that did not, at the time, have any work-related application.”
“It has been a great privilege for me to have been able to attend the NM EDGE classes. As a Sergeant with the Sierra County Detention Facility I have been able to use information that I learned by taking law classes, as well as, classes that covered employee rights. The NM EDGE classes have taught me how to apply Policies and Procedures in a more effective manner and have helped me to better manage the employees that I work with within our County. I appreciate all of the help and knowledge I have gained from these classes; it all has been very useful.”
“I valued all of my classroom instructors as they were very knowledgeable in their professions and shared their personal experiences in the workforce. Because of that, I’ve gained education relevant to my career that benefits my employer.”
