What Others are Saying
Jodi Romero, Assessor’s Office
“There were multiple NM EDGE assessor classes that helped me under-stand my job much better. In our office, we cross train so everyone knows how to do all duties. With all the NM EDGE classes we have taken, I feel like my employer doesn’t have to be concerned with our knowledge. NM EDGE was very helpful and very user friendly for the required classes. Thank you for the opportunity to further my knowledge in government.”
Annie Miller, CPO, Senior Appraiser
“I enjoyed continuing my education with the NM EDGE. It has given me knowledge that helps advance my career status and offers the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful societal change by improving public policies and programs that directly impact people’s lives. Plus, I was able to make new friends in other counties and we could relate to each other’s needs when it came to work issues. I feel that my employer has invested in an educated ethical employee. My knowledge and skills can be applied to help others by knowing how to take a day-to-day situation and apply a little integrity, honesty, and compassion to obtain a much happier, healthier workplace.”
Tasha Grassel, Certified Appraiser
“I love that the NM EDGE classes offer New Mexico specific courses. I have taken lots of appraisal classes through an international organization that are very broad and don’t always apply to the way our State does things. NM EDGE offers classes detailing New Mexico statutes, guidelines, rules and regulations and I believe studying those things is very important in our line of work. I have gained more confidence in myself and in my ability to do my job. I feel more thorough and accurate in my appraisals because of the NM EDGE CPAO classes. I believe my employer has a gained a more compassionate, professional and well-rounded employee thanks to what I learned while taking the NM EDGE CPO classes.”
Helen Wood, Deputy Assessor
“I appreciate the effort of the NM EDGE taking the time and energy to make the classes available on Zoom. All the instructors were very knowledgeable and able to deliver the information in a comprehensive way. Taking the NM EDGE classes helps me a lot in this field of work.”
