What Others are Saying

Eppie Tapia, Risk Management Supervisor
“I gained many different aspects from all 23 classes with NM EDGE, from Safety Basics to Successful Supervision and everything in between. As in life, you learn many different skills, ethics, morals, etc., but you keep what you find to be important to you, your livelihood and your job. If someone hands you a toolbox loaded with many different tools, you will go through it, pick out a few tools you know you will use the most and keep them at the top for easy access. This is what I mean by saying I gained many different things from NM EDGE. My Director has taken notice of how passionate I am when it comes to employee safety and how I make a friendly approach to addressing safety issue and concerns, so much so, that I was promoted in late July of this year to Risk Management Supervisor.”

Teri K. Harris, Administrative Assistant for Risk Management
“The NM EDGE program provides a solid foundation in Risk Management, specifically targeting the public sector, giving me the knowledge and confidence to expand my responsibilities in the Risk Management department and to reach for my long term goals. I have especially appreciated the opportunity offered to take most classes online, limiting time away from the office and demonstrating stewardship of limited travel and education budgets. Classes were challenging and interesting, teachers were knowledgeable and engaging, and there was not one class I did not find useful in some way.”

Charlene “Charlie” Powell, Safety Officer
“NM EDGE training has provided me with new insight into the working of government, federal and state laws, and how to conduct business in a professional and ethical manner.”
